Amongst all the excitement of your wedding day, your ceremony is the moment everything comes back to the two of you.
We believe a beautiful ceremony isn’t about following a formula or filling time. It’s about flow. Knowing when to make your guests laugh, when to let a moment breathe, what deserves to be shared and, just as importantly, what doesn’t.
We take the time to get to know you both, understand what matters to you and listen to what you want from your ceremony. From your story and vows to the people you’d love involved, we’ll bring it all together in a way that feels natural, considered and completely representative of you.
Nothing we share is overly scripted and nothing is included simply because “that’s what you do at weddings”. We write our ceremonies with warmth, personality and all the important bits woven together beautifully.
Whether you choose Nat or Sophie (in the future) as your celebrant, you’ll be supported by the Under the Arbour team and our approach to creating ceremonies that feel every bit as good as the rest of your day.

I genuinely love the writing part of what I do. Getting to know you both, finding the little pieces of your story that deserve to be shared, and bringing it all together in a way that sounds and feels like you.
I love sharing your ceremony just as much. With years of experience across weddings, events and public speaking, I know how to read a room, find the right flow and know when to bring the energy, when to make you laugh and when to simply let a moment be.
From your vows to involving the people you love, every part is considered, personal and written with purpose.
And, because your ceremony goes by incredibly quickly, I want you to be able to experience it again.
As part of my celebrancy service, your ceremony will also be captured on video and shared with you afterwards as a keepsake. It’s not a polished wedding film or a replacement for your videographer… just a beautiful, uninterrupted recording of the ceremony itself, so you can come back to the words, the vows, the laughs and all the little moments you may have missed while you were standing in the middle of it. Your celebrant can also host your reception, bringing warmth and confidence to the evening while keeping your formalities flowing. We’ll introduce your wedding party, support your speakers and liaise with your vendors, so you and your guests can settle in and enjoy the celebration.

Guest guidance and housekeeping announcements
Wedding party introductions
Coordination and introduction of speeches, meal service and other formalities
Support for your nominated speakers
Vendor liaison to maintain timing and flow
Coverage concludes after your final formalities, such as your last speech or first dance.

As an Under the Arbour celebrant, Sophie takes the time to really get to know you both; finding the stories and little details that will make your ceremony feel personal, natural and completely your own.
From helping you find the words for your vows to thoughtfully shaping the flow of your ceremony, Sophie will guide you through the entire process so that when the day arrives, you can simply be present and enjoy it.

For when you simply want to be married
Our Marriage Legals service takes care of everything required to legally marry in Australia, with your marriage officiated in a beautiful private setting at our Palm Beach home.
You’ll join me overlooking the palms in our little desert oasis, say the words that make it official, sign your paperwork with your two witnesses, and just like that, you’re married.

Marriage Legals are available midweek, or on Saturdays and Sundays prior to midday.
Your ceremony takes place at our private residence in Palm Beach, QLD, so you’ll need to travel to us.
You’ll need two witnesses over the age of 18. If you’d like us to arrange witnesses for you, we can do so for $50 per witness.
Want a few beautiful photographs of the moment too? We can introduce you to one of our elopement photographers for a short portrait session at the residence. A small garden preparation fee applies for photography sessions of up to 30 minutes.

We love the writing part of what we do, and can't wait to get to know you both.
YOUR STORY
No one should be straining to hear your vows.
Our professional PA system and wireless microphone ensure your ceremony can be heard clearly by the people you've invited to share it with you. You can also use our PA system for your ceremony music if needed, one less thing for you to organise.
LOUD AND CLEAR
We'll be right there when you need us (without becoming the third person in every beautiful photo).
From knowing where to stand and when to step aside, to giving you a quiet prompt if you need one, we'll guide you through your ceremony so you never have to wonder what comes next.
Representing you both goes beyond the ceremony we write. We’ll consider the style, setting and overall vibe of your day when choosing what we wear, so we complement the celebration you’ve created and feel right at home standing alongside you.

Otherwise, we recommend getting in touch as soon as you've secured your date, particularly for weekend weddings during peak Spring season.

Alongside getting to know you and writing your personalised ceremony, we'll guide you through the legal requirements of getting married in Australia, prepare and lodge the necessary documentation, and help you feel confident about what to expect on the day.
We'll also bring our professional PA system and microphone, printed vow cards and the experience to guide your ceremony from beginning to end.

Not necessarily. If you'd love a familiar face to continue hosting your celebration, we also offer professional Master of Ceremonies services.
Having your celebrant as your MC creates a lovely sense of continuity, with someone who already knows your story and understands the atmosphere you'd like to create.
From introducing speeches and formalities to keeping your reception flowing, we'll work alongside your venue and wedding team to help everything come together.

Yes! And this is where our team offers something a little different.
Alongside personalised celebrancy and MC services, Under the Arbour offers wedding planning, wedding day coordination and content creation.
For couples planning their own wedding who would love one connected team across their celebration, we've also created All In by Under the Arbour.
This signature experience brings together celebrancy, MC hosting, coordination and content creation, with preferential pricing when booked together.

Absolutely! And we love an adventure.
While we're based on the Gold Coast, we regularly celebrate weddings across South East Queensland, Northern New South Wales and beyond.
In fact, 2027 is already taking us to some beautiful island destinations, and we've just booked our very first wedding in Italy!
With our Italian wedding experiences launching in 2028, we're excited to be bringing Under the Arbour to even more incredible places, while continuing to celebrate weddings here in Australia.
Travel within 40 kilometres of Palm Beach, Queensland, is included in our standard celebrant service, with additional travel quoted depending on your wedding location.
