Wedding planning FAQS

Planning a wedding together is journey, and one that we want you to feel supported on.

  • From a wedding planning perspective, I love to be involved as soon as you’re ready. This way I can be involved in your journey from as early as possible and help secure your ideal date and wedding vendors.

  • If you need additional support in the lead-up or on your wedding day, this will be charged at our hourly rate of $100 (AUD).

In some cases, venue terms and conditions may require your wedding planner to be on-site until all guests have safely left.

  • We love nothing more than dreaming up beautiful location and experiences that are tailored to your unique budget.

  • You most certainly can, I love being able to support my couples as both their planner and celebrant. You cake take advantage of 10% off my celebrant services in this case too.

Celebrant FAQS

  • Get a sense of whether your celebrant will be able to capture your story. Ideally you'll want a great writer, listener and talker; someone that can engage and get to know your friends and family as they arrive (but also someone that won't just take center stage). Couples have shared with me how much they appreciate this balance.

Do you get a sense that your celebrant is a good communicator? A celebrant that is a great communicator from your initial enquiry, will likely be a good proactive communicator in other areas too. There are many legal deadlines that we must meet and items we’ll work on together in preparation for your ceremony. You should be appreciated and responded to in a timely manner.

  • If you’re looking to confirm my celebrant services, once you’ve confirmed your wedding date, it’s a great time to get in touch. This way, I can confirm my availability with you.

  • Is it as simple as trusting that I will turn up on the day?

The truth is, I don't just show up on the day and help you sign the papers (unless you're after a legals only arrangement).

Here's a few highlights on exactly what a celebrant's role entails:

    - I help bring together one of the most important parts of your wedding day, this may include celebrating your elopement just the two of you, or sharing your ceremony with your loved ones.

    - The detail and majority of the time spent will be getting to know you both. That’s because I want to write an awesome ceremony that is true to you. My aim is to always write in a warm way that will make you both smile. I like to learn about your story and find the little gems that even your closest friends won't know about your journey together so far.

    - Couples can't legally get married without an authorised wedding celebrant. This is true if you're after a civil ceremony :)

    - One of the very first steps that I will talk with you about is the Notice of Intent to Marry (this is known as the NOIM). The NOIM is the first legal document that you will be guided through and need to complete - you'll also need to show me proof of your identity and birthplace. A valid passport is often the go to document here, but there are other options that I can talk you through. It's important to note that this NOIM must be completed 1 month prior to your wedding date.

    - If you choose to write personal vows (or need some guidance on traditional vows, I will be here to support you both). I’ll also help provide any ideas that you may wish to incorporate into your ceremony.

    - Following your ceremony and signing your official paperwork on your wedding day, I will register your marriage and share with you any next steps to support you both.

  • Absolutely! I can certainly provide some inspiration and guidance to help you write your own vows. I’ll also request that you share your draft vows with me in advance so I can guide you on length, tone and balance - this way your vows are kept a surprise to each other, but you can rest assured I’ve helped you get your balance just right.

  • I am a celebrant that writes for my couples and not to a word count or time. I will write a warm and engaging ceremony, and be guided by your wishes of inclusions within your ceremony.

Typically, I suggest allowing 30 minutes for your ceremony which will help you plan your wedding day timeline.

  • Absolutely! You can book Nat’s Celebrant services on its own.

We pride ourselves on working as a team, and we love to work alongside other planners, celebrants and industry legends. As professionals, we’ll work together to bring your wedding vision to life.

  • My packages typically include travel within 40km of Palm Beach, QLD - but please reach out to discuss your chosen venue location and I’ll do my best to accommodate.

  • Of course! My wireless PA system has Bluetooth connectivity and you may volunteer a friend to lead your playlist. I’ll work with your nominated friend on the day to help support with timings and prompts.

  • I like to arrive at least 30 minutes before your guests arrive at your ceremony. For example: if you’ve planned a 3.30pm ceremony with guests arriving from 3pm, I’ll be there at 2.30pm.

I’m an event planner, so I like to familiarise myself with my surroundings, welcome your family and friends, ensure your set-up is complete and introduce myself to your other vendors.
